The bank was losing revenue to non-performing accounts and could accurately identify customers with a propensity to default on loan repayments.
The solution created an early default detection system that identified loan repayment defaults 90 days prior to occurence. The system scored historical data and identified attributes of customers that are likely to default on their loan payment. These solution generated profiles that allowed the bank to take the appropriate steps to assist the customer.
As a result of its implementation, the system saved the bank EUR$M's from better assessment of non-performing loans and enhanced methods of analysis and modelling.
